Week 19!!!!  Welcome back to my blog.  The official site of Word Vibration of the Week (WVOW).  My intention for this blog is to create a community where we can share our thoughts and ideas about how words resonant with our energy.  I look forward to your comments and our discussions. For those of you familiar with these posts, please feel free to jump to the next paragraph.  For those of you new to my posts here is a brief description of Word Vibration of the Week.

I have always been fascinated with the idea that words carry a certain vibration, an energy of their own. My fascination is fueled by the idea that two words having similar meanings can feel vastly different energetically. I wanted to know how particular words landed on other people. Do they feel a word’s individual character like I do?  Do other people notice how the words we use, in large part, create the experience we are having? I decided to write random words, 103 to be exact, on pieces of paper. I folded them into little squares and tossed them into a bowl. Each week I will draw a new word and post how this word feels to me, energetically.  These words are the basis for my interactive post(s), “Word Vibration of the Week.” I invite you to join me each week and share how  each WVOW  lands on you.

Week 19 – VALUE

I have thought a lot about VALUE this week.  This word references so many different things; the VALUE of material possessions, the VALUE of people or maybe the VALUE of one’s reputation.  It’s a subjective word, defined best through the lens of one’s own wants and desires.  In some respects VALUE is a measuring stick.

Personally, I don’t VALUE very many material things or possessions.  I find little to no VALUE in the news or in politics.  I don’t look for my VALUE through the opinions of others. Where I find VALUE is in the things that touch my heart and my soul; being able to sit on my patio overlooking the Pacific Ocean and hearing her roar in the middle of the night when the world sleeps, seeing my sweet boy Lucky wake up each morning excited for a new day as he runs to play with his toys but most of all…  at this time in my life, on this day, in this moment, the thing I VALUE most is LIFE and the opportunity to LIVE.

Week 18 – LIVE

When I pulled last week’s word, Abandon, it resonated in two ways for me, one was to LIVE with abandon, the other was to feel abandon(ed) by someone or something else.  There is a third vibration to the word abandon that I want to address before I talk about this week’s word LIVE, and that energy is asking me not abandon myself.  I intrinsically know that to truly LIVE I get to believe in myself, trust my choices and in my ability to create all the resources I need. Being a human being my resolve will ebb and flow. It’s only natural.  For me, it is a strong connection to SPIRIT that lights the way during those moments of doubt and discouragement. When I am scared and afraid to LIVE, I turn to my higher power through meditation and prayer for guidance and comfort.  In this crazy, mixed up world too many of us are trying to meet the next deadline, pay the next bill and just get through the day. We have forgotten to LIVE.

This week’s word, LIVE, is an invitation.  It is a gift.  It is a privilege.

World Peace Card Meditation, April 1, 2009 7:30pm

On Wednesday April 1, 2009 at 7:30pm (in your local time zone) you are invited to take part in the fourth World Peace Card Meditation sponsored by The International Center for Reiki Training . Please mark your calendar for this powerful event.

The fourth World Peace Card (http://www.reiki.org/WPCM.html) group meditation has been scheduled in waves. This method of staying connected to one’s own time zone has been chosen because of the special effect it produces. As people meditate in each successive time zone the energy builds like a wave which gets stronger and stronger as it circles the planet.
