I have always been fascinated with the idea that words carry a certain vibration, an energy of their own. My fascination is fueled by the idea that two words having similar meanings can feel vastly different
energetically. I wanted to know how particular words landed on other people. Do they feel a word’s individual character like I do? Do other people notice how the words we use, in large part, create the experience we are having? I decided to write random words, 103 to be exact, on pieces of paper. I folded them into little squares and tossed them into a bowl. Each week I will draw a new word and post how this word feels to me, energetically. These words are the basis for my interactive post(s), “Word Vibration of the Week.” I invite you to join me each week and share how each WVOW lands on you.

Week #79 – UNDERSTANDING

My first thought when I pulled this word was “I get to see another point of view.” That is how to fully embrace the vibration offered by UNDERSTANDING.

I could feel its energy working as I watched myself so invested in being understood, that I missed UNDERSTANDING.

I am forever grateful for the vibrations these words reflect. Each week, in some strange coincidental way, the word is completely relevant to what is going on with me. Each week I get to take a pause, give myself a moment to look deeper. In doing so, I am gaining a broader perspective and with God’s grace more UNDERSTANDING.

Week #78 – CREATIVITY

Yeah!!!! CREATIVITY!!!!!

This word is at the top of my list for great word vibrations. It infuses a joyful energy into everything in its path.

CREATIVITY stretches me, beckons me to think outside the rules, boundaries and limitations I have grown used to. CREATIVITY says “Hey, no judgement, this is just me expressing myself.”

Ok, I’m going there…  CREATIVITY has a dance vibe. Like it’s asking me to… shake your booty…. shake your booty… shake shake shake…. shake shake shake… shake your booty. (Did I put a disco song in your head? lol)

I love being creative in all sorts of ways, even when I’m cleaning out the closet.

Week #76 – HAVE

HAVE in its noun form is defined as “people with a lot of money and posessions.”

Over the last couple of weeks we have moved through the dense energy of Need, into the lighter energy of Get and as a result the experience of HAVE is the reward.

HAVE in this form vibrates as achievement and self-satisfaction. I have stepped into the energy that says I BE-lieve in myself, I am DO-ing the steps to HAVE what I want.

HAVE’s vibration is more than just possessing things, it possesses a sense of Self that trusts in the ability to make HAVE happen whenever and wherever one chooses.

Week #75 – GET (AKA Need version 2.0)

Last week’s word, need, intricately involved the concept of GET. Sooooo when I pulled GET this week I thought “How weird is that? Is this one of those coincidences that’s no coincidence!? I mean really, what are the odds?” Instantly I heard “Lather, rinse, repeat. Lather, rinse, repeat.”

So back by popular demand…. and because we GET to ponder this concept a little more….

Many of you who work with me have often heard me say “need is an obligation, ‘GET’ is an opportunity.”

Rather than thinking I need to do something, I tell myself I ‘GET’ to do/feel/be something and a sense of excitement starts to stir.  When I feel I need (fill in the blank) its obligation/duty and even its loss begin their forward motion.

So how does the frequency of need vs GET effect your love relationships? When I choose that I ‘GET’ to love you rather than I need to love you it requires no action from you. When I need you to love me I am unconsciously requiring you to fill holes in my emotional body. Construction workers fill holes, not lovers! GETTING to love you, means I know how to love me – or at the very least – I am learning.

Week #74 –  NEED

Week #73 –  BALANCE

The keys to the kingdom are found in the energy of BALANCE. Its vibration ripples into the Universe promoting peace and acceptance.

I practice BALANCE not so much in the work/family/friends areas of my life, as I practice BALANCE within.  When I practice BALANCE within I am working with BALANCE’s organic  energy promoting peace and acceptance, which in turn ripples into my work/family/friends sectors.

BALANCE within reminds me that life’s journey ebbs and flows. Remaining consciously BALANCED means standing in the ebb and knowing the flow is right around the corner!

Week #72 –  FLEXIBILITY

FLEXIBILITY is defined as “the quality of bending easily without breaking.” It conjures up images of yogis and pretzels, both of which I am a huge fan of yet… there is a vibration to this word that is essential to me – People who live in the energy of FLEXIBILITY make things fun.

There is an air of acceptance within the vibration of FLEXIBILITY. When I accept me then I accept you – just as we are… fabulously flawed.

I love being around people who can go with the flow, exercise spontaneity, and create an adventure.

FLEXIBILITY in my thought patterns vibrates as staying current, feeling relative, and being comfortable in my skin.

Week #70 – HEALTHY

When I pulled this week’s word my first thought was being HEALTHY is not just about my physical body.

For me HEALTHY is balancing the layers of my Being.  

Connectedness:  To people, to my community, to nature and All That Is.

Playtime: To give myself permission to see the wisdom of fun and laughter and to unleash the child within.

Reflection:  Meditation & Prayer, to look within and connect with God and Spirit

Movement:  To move my physical body, for me it is not exercise but celebration, usually in the form of dance.

Rest:  To unplug from the world

Purposeful Action:  To be a conscious, mindful human, to walk my path in acceptance and to show up in my highest vibration.

Eat:  With joy and gratitude.

These are some of the elements that vibrate within what I deem a HEALTHY vessel aka Me.
