Does Anybody Really Know What Time It Is?

Hi Everyone,

Recently I have been introduced to live streaming media, specifically a website called Blab http://www.blab.im. For those of you who are unfamiliar with Blab, (and hopefully I wasn’t the only one) it enables up to four people to have a live face-to-face conversation from anywhere in the World. Others can watch the conversation and comment, if they choose, in the side chat.

After a few weeks of watching the interactions, it struck me that people were meeting on a regular basis and real relationships were being forged. It doesn’t matter that one person is in Los Angeles while another is in London, and another in Rhode Island, and yet another in Australia. Friendships are being carved in the present moment, which is “technically different” for each person. My mind giggles at the idea that it is Wednesday in one location and Thursday in another, dusk and dawn, summer and winter all simultaneously as these world citizens share their lives with each other.

I am witnessing people, (who just a few years ago would not have access to each other) create true, invested relationships with one another. I am excited to see people curious about each other and the differing cultures and customs only to find common threads that weave us together in unity.

I have seen people stay on the site all night long to support someone who lives alone and is under-the-weather or in a compromised emotional state. During these exchanges, each person is in the moment together, time and space having no barring what-so-ever. The Earth and its inhabitants are being offered opportunities generations before only considered Science Fiction.

I feel blessed to watch time as it bends, and stretches, replacing rigid lines with open spaces. Finding connectedness where there was once separation. And with that thought… does anybody really know what time it is? Does anybody really care… about time?

I have always been fascinated with the idea that words carry a certain vibration, an energy of their own. My fascination is fueled by the idea that two words having similar meanings can feel vastly different energetically. I wanted to know how particular words landed on other people. Do they feel a word’s individual character like I do? Do other people notice how the words we use, in large part, create the experience we are having? I decided to write random words, 103 to be exact, on pieces of paper. I folded them into little squares and tossed them into a bowl. Each week I will draw a new word and post how this word feels to me, energetically. These words are the basis for my interactive post(s), “Word Vibration of the Week.” I invite you to join me each week and share how each WVOW lands on you.

Two years and 103 Words later we reach the final word for this chapter of WVOW – And that word is LOVE…

The Universe is awesome! And how divine is it that our last word is LOVE.

LOVE’s vibration  is the frequency every human strives to experience.

LOVE defies definition. It is boundless and the foundation that links us to the best part of ourselves and enables us to see the best in others.

LOVE is the ultimate vibration. The Holy Grail. It makes all the other vibrations worth traversing. I’m pretty sure it’s why our soul longs for a physical journey.

Thank you all for allowing me to share my thoughts. I have LOVED each and every week.

And just as LOVE is ever expanding so is the life of this blog. I will keep you posted…

Week #102 – POWER

It’s Monday and I apologize for the being late on the 2nd to the last post (as it is now) of WVOW.

This week’s word, POWER, had me going in a bunch of different directions. I will admit I thought about Hillary and The Don and the power struggle of an election year.  I thought about POWER TO THE PEOPLE and then I saw the phrase above and I thought this is the perfect way for me to depict how I feel the frequency of POWER.

It’s not always easy to take our POWER back when our mind has run amok with “what ifs” or “how will that happen” yet, when I focus my mind on what it is I want to experience I feel empowered and strong.

POWER’s vibration can easily be misused by the Ego, but when I stand in my truth, POWER is God’s loving light leading the way.

Week #101 – DEPENDENT

Ok, I’ll admit it, this word’s vibration straight up scared me. I immediately felt powerless, weak, and less than…. everything!!!!

This word’s frequency got me thinking about relationships and if I were in a situation where I was DEPENDENT on another. You know the big DEPENDENT where I have little to no say in my life, how would that look?  Whoaaaaaa…. Can you say trust issues? To be DEPENDENT is to display the highest vibration of trust.

While I know we come into his world DEPENDENT on others, I just don’t particularly like the idea of going back there in my old age. And that leads to the greatest reason to get my b*tt off the couch and get that blood pumping.

Week #100 – EXPRESSION

This week’s word, EXPRESSION, marks a milestone… It is the 100th word post from WVOW and it is the vibration that this blog was born of.

EXPRESSION is the benchmark of freedom and it is imperative for me to experience life in its sweetest, richest hues.

EXPRESSION is the foundation of creativity. It has a youthful frequency that demands attention. From my perspective it is the driving force behind all human endeavors from the building of Mount Rushmore to putting a man on the Moon, to countless others.

I have enjoyed EXPRESSing myself these last two years and find myself contemplating the final weeks of this blog. I’m not sure I am ready to let go of this forum for my EXPRESSION…. we’ll have to see???

Week #99 – CONNECTION

I have heard it said many times that humans are hard-wired for CONNECTION. As I thought about this week’s word I realized it’s the key ingredient to me feeling loved. CONNECTION’s vibration says I value this person, place or thing and I am valued in return. It’s frequency is present, open and paying attention to that which it is CONNECTED to.

It creates a safe harbor where I can speak my truth, be myself and you can do the same. CONNECTION is the first child of vulnerability.

When I vulnerable enough to embrace CONNECTION’s frequency my life feels richer, more fulfilling, and dare I say magical.
